# GUNCHI.DEV CONFLICT TOOL

A Windows app that finds and fixes **map conflicts** on your FiveM server: map files that more than one resource ships, where only one copy can load.

> **Public beta.** The tool is in beta: check the areas it fixes in game, keep a backup, and report anything odd on Discord. Download it from [**gunchi.dev/conflict-tool**](https://gunchi.dev/conflict-tool).

#### 🗺️ What it fixes

Map mods work by replacing the game's own map files. When two resources ship a file with the same name, only one copy loads, and the other mod's changes there are lost. On a busy server that shows up as:

* Ground or buildings vanishing into a **grey void**
* **Original buildings reappearing** inside a new MLO or map
* **Invisible walls**, or spots where players fall through the floor
* Old doors, props or interiors showing up where a mod removed them

The tool finds every one of these clashes, **combines the copies** where it safely can, and lets you pick which copy to use for the rest. Everything goes into a single new resource, **`gunchi-mapfix`**, that you drop into your server. Nothing on your server changes until you add it yourself.

#### ✨ Features

* **Automatic merging** of occlusion, map placement, distant buildings and lights, collision, and edited game models
* **Compares against the original game files**, so it knows exactly what each mod added or removed and keeps everyone's changes
* **Handles escrow-protected maps**: the fix force-loads automatically when it needs to
* **Texture optimiser** that shrinks texture files over FiveM's 16 MB limit without re-compressing them
* **Audit** an existing fix, from this tool or another one, for problems that make parts of the map disappear
* **History** of every fix you've made, so you can roll back in one click
* A full **report** with every fix, explaining what was merged and what still needs your choice
* Nothing to install on your server: just one ordinary resource
